Coralie Prendergast
Founding partner
Coralie runs the firm’s trademark work and the disputes that come with it, from the first search to the letter that settles it.
Coralie spent her early years in practice at a large firm, writing the demand letters that land on small brands. She started this one to sit on the other side of that letter, and to make sure fewer clients ever receive one.
Her clients are roasters, bakers, clothing labels and the founders of consumer brands, most of them before their first big order.

How she works
She reads the market before she reads the register. A search tells you which names are filed; a walk through the shelves and the app stores tells you which ones are in use, and that’s where most disputes begin.
When a letter arrives, she answers it in writing within a week and tells you, before she sends anything, what it could cost to hold your ground and what it would cost to rename.
